Traditionally, chaos is considered to be a disorderly structure but chaos according to Bill Williams Chaos theory is a much higher level of order, in which there is absense of pattern and play of chance.

Chaos is permanent, but stablility is temporary. Financial markets are the result of chaos.

Cause and effect are predictable in the Linear World. In the Non-Linear World such as the financial market (Forex Market to be precise), such relations between cause and effect do not exist.

Fundamental or technical analysis cannot guarantee steady profitable results on the financial market. The investor who relies on linear prospects will never see the ‘real’market, constantly risking money.

Traders lose because they rely on different forms of analysis, which are inefficient in fact and are therefore useless or even dangerous. Trading is a physiological game, the way of self-realization and self-knowledge.

Trading should not be difficult or back-breaking. It is unneccessary to analyze financial markets for many hours, trying to predict the trend direction. The only thing you need to become successful without having constant stress is find your trading self.

To get to know it better and to follow it no matter what, there are two significant aspects to successful trading:

1. Self knowledge
2. Understanding of the market structure.

Somali Pirates have gone corporate (Have Letterheads and Stamps)

Welcome to the Pirate Action Group. Pirate commander Jamal wishes to congratulate you on being hijacked. Kindly speak to his negotiator about your ransom, bearing in mind that his demands are similar for every vessel he seizes.

This is not an absurd joke -- this is how the pirates of the African coast do business, and it's a serious matter for the companies that have to pay out.

In 2011, Somali piracy cost the world economy $7 billion and earned the pirates some $160 million in ransoms, according to a recent report by the International Maritime Bureau.

Piracy is receding of late, but it is still a threat. The maritime bureau reported 69 hijacking incidents by Somali pirates between January 1 and July 12, down 32 percent from last year.

Rogues though they may be, these pirates in many cases are surprisingly well-organized, down to having their own packets of paperwork -- on letterhead -- for their victims.

Reuters obtained a copy of one such packet, presented to the owner of a hijacked oil tanker and the owner's insurer after the ship was taken. Due to the commercial sensitivities, the names of the insurer and ship owner were redacted from the document, as was the size of the ransom request.

But what remains is colorful enough, and somewhat surprising. The cover sheet, in memo format, is addressed "To Whom It May Concern" with the subject line "Congratulations to the Company/Owner."

"Having seen when my Pirate Action Group (P.A.G) had controlled over your valuable vessel we are saying to you Company/Owner welcome to Jamal's Pirate Action Group (J.P.A.G) and you have to follow by our law to return back your vessel and crew safely," the memo begins.

 

The tone of the memo belies the violent reality of the pirate's actions. As of early August armed Somali pirates hold more than 170 hostages, according to the IMB, and were responsible for 35 deaths in 2011 alone.

"Do not imagine that we are making to you intimidation," the memo says, before signing off with "Best regards" and the signature of Jamal Faahiye Culusow, the General Commander of the Group.

Lest there be any doubt about who Jamal is or what he does, his signature is accompanied by his seal -- yes, Jamal has a stamped seal -- depicting a skull and crossed swords with the name of the group.

Michael Phelps signs off in typical style

The end of Swimming in the pool saw the exit of arguably the greatest Olympian in history as Michael Phelps bowed out of the sport having collected 18 gold medals and 22 overall.

Michael Phelps was presented with a FINA lifetime achievement award at London 2012. 

The 27-year-old started his Olympic Swimming career as a 15-year-old in Sydney in 2000, where the youngster was fifth in the 200m Butterfly. 

Six gold and two bronze medals followed in Athens four years later before his historic eight gold medals in Beijing in 2008. 

 

His Games in London did not start off so well with fourth place in the 400m Individual Medley - his worst result since Sydney - and he was shocked into second by Chad le Clos in the 200m Butterfly. 

However, the Baltimore swimmer won the 100m Butterfly and 200m Individual Medley - where he outgunned team-mate Ryan Lochte - as well as taking the titles in the 4 x 200m Freestyle and Medley Relay and silver in the 4 x 100m Freestyle. 

Texts and phone calls came from the likes of USA president Barack Obama and last night he was presented with a FINA lifetime achievement award by president Julio Maglione inscribed with the words: 'To Michael Phelps, the greatest Olympic athlete of all time. From FINA. August 4 2012. London, Great Britain.' 

At a packed press conference afterwards, Phelps revealed what he had said to Bob Bowman, who had coached him since the age of 11, when he completed his final warm-up.

Phelps told Bowman: 'I have looked up to Michael Jordan all my life. He became the best Basketball player there ever was. I've been able to become the best swimmer of all time, we got here together. Thank you.' 

Phelps now intends to travel and remain heavily involved with his Swimming foundation.

Of how he was feeling after his final swim, Phelps said: 'It's hard to put into words right now. I did everything I wanted to and finished my career how I wanted to. 

'I've always said that I don't care what anybody else says, if I can say that about my career that's all that matters.' 

While Phelps's retirement commanded the spotlight, the rest of his USA team-mates enjoyed great success, heading the medal table with 30 medals: 16 golds, eight silver and six bronze, as well as setting five of the nine world records. 

Phelps claimed six medals, of which four were gold, while his Baltimore team-mate Allison Schmitt also visited the podium six times, topping it on three occasions.

Missy Franklin, 17, won five medals - four of them gold - while Ryan Lochte will also take home five, including two titles. 

Katie Ledecky made an astonishing senior debut, winning the 800m Freestyle with the second fastest swim in history at the age of just 15. 

Fellow 15-year-old Ruta Meilutyte of Lithuania also topped the podium, shocking herself with her 100m Breaststroke victory. 

Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen won the 400m Individual Medley gold in world-record time, and returned to win the shorter medley. 

Fellow Chinese Sun Yang also set a world record, lowering his own mark in the 1500m Freestyle as he continues to steer the event into uncharted territory. It was his second title, and fourth medal, of the week. 

The French enjoyed success: Yannick Agnel anchoring the sprint relay to victory in the final metres over the USA before taking the 200m Freestyle title. Camille Muffat became only the second Frenchwoman to claim an Olympic Swimming title when she won the 400m Freestyle, then finishing second over four lengths. 

Ranomi Kromowidjojo won the sprint Freestyle double for the Netherlands but the Germans left without having visited the rostrum. 

There were surprises. James Magnussen - 'the Missile' - did not claim the 100m Freestyle as had been widely predicted for much of the year, defending champion Britta Steffen did not make the final of the women's equivalent while Sarah Sjostrom, the Swedish teenager tipped for stardom, must wait for such success. 

Most of all, though, the week in the pool was about Phelps, the like of whom we are unlikely to see again. 

Elsewhere, the 10k Marathon saw men's and women's events in the Serpentine, with Tunisia's Oussama Mellouli and Eva Risztov of Hungary emerging victorious. 

Mellouli became the first swimmer to win an Olympic medal in the pool and open water at the same Games after his bronze in the 1500m Freestyle.

Attempted Robbery On Arik Air Flight: Suspect & Victim Arrested

THISDAY Newspaper report:

Flight crew of Nigeria’s major carrier, Arik Air, were vindicated over constant allegations of stealing passengers money and other valuables, when a passenger was caught stealing another passenger’s N200,000 cash at the weekend.
The male passenger, who was seated in the business class cabin with his victim on flight W3 162 ABV- LOS, Abuja to Lagos, was said to have ransacked his neighbour’s bag on seat 3C and taken the N200,000, during which process he was sighted by another passenger, who immediately asked the victim to check his bag.

The other passenger (victim) quickly checked his bag and found out the sum was missing and he reported to the head of the cabin crew who alerted the captain of the flight.

THISDAY gathered that upon landing the plane at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, the captain called the aviation security officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who promptly arrested the suspect and the owner of the money and took both of them away.

Aviation security later transferred the suspect, the owner of the money, and the exhibit to the domestic wing police station of the airport for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Confirming the incident, a senior security official of FAAN explained that the authority was briefed about the incident and that the matter was taken to the police to handle. “Yes, I got the report that our men arrested the suspect and with his exhibit he was handed over to the police,” the official said.
However, when THISDAY visited the domestic airport police station, the Divisional Police Officer, Fidelia Victor, confirmed the incident but said that she did not have the details, promising that she would have more information to give when she has been briefed.


Another Arik Air source told THISDAY that such incidents were not rare and whenever they happened the cabin crew would be accused by the passengers.
“But this shows that there are passengers whose intention is to come and rob others in the aircraft. This is surprising and to think of the fact that he was in the business class cabin adds to the surprise,” the source added.

THISDAY also learnt that the suspect who was caught in the act did not deny nor resist arrest, but obediently followed the aviation security officials that consequently took him to the police.

Surprise, You are a Owner Now; Man Orders TV from Amazon, Gets Assault Rifle

Now how am I supposed to watch the Olympics?
After ordering a new flat-screen TV from Amazon, a Washington D.C. man got quite the shock when his package arrived without a flatscreen TV inside.
But it wasn’t empty. Instead, his shipment contained a semi-automatic rifle with a 20-round mag and an MSRP price of a little over $2,000.
The gun was a Sig Sauer SIG716, to be exact. But honestly, it doesn’t really matter which assault rifle shows up to your front door instead of your new television. I’d say it’s pretty strange either way.
The surprised new gun owner, Seth Horvitz, tells FOX 5 D.C. that he ordered the TV through a third party via Amazon.
“[Police] were a little confused at first, they’ve never seen anything quite like it,” says Horvitz. “They just took my information and then said we’ll handle this weapon because it’s illegal to keep here. It’s illegal to transport in a car, so it can’t be returned.”

Apparently, the gun’s actual destination was a gun store in Pennsylvania, according to shipping papers. But just how did it wind up at Mr. Horvitz’s apartment doorstep? Police are currently investigating.
Although Horvitz had to know something was amiss when he saw a short, rectangular box that couldn’t possibly fit a flatscreen TV, opening it up and seeing an assault rifle must have been quite the experience. It’s kind of scary that the weapon was just sitting in his apartment hallway for a while – someone could have themselves a brand new large caliber carbine right now.
Strangely enough, this isn’t the first strange shipping story involving Amazon we’ve heard this year. Back in January, a college student in Kansas found a bag of cocaine inside a used bookshe ordered via Amazon’s Warehouse Deals program.

Surface is a must for Microsoft, say chip makers

Commenting on recent complaints from PC brand vendors and ODMs about Microsoft's moves over its Surface tablet PC, sources from first-tier chip makers pointed out that the release of Surface is a must for Microsoft since Windows 8 is designed specifically for handheld consumer electronics devices such as tablet PCs and smartphones.

Since Microsoft needs to find out more about the differences in usage between consumer electronics products and PCs in order to successfully enter into the global smartphone and tablet PC markets, and expand its income sources, entering the market itself is the fastest method to achieve its goal, the sources noted.

The sources pointed out that after a long discussion with Microsoft's Windows 8 R&D team, they discovered that the global PC market is not the only target that Microsoft wishes to focus on for Windows 8 since the company basically has no competitor in the market.

To satisfy tablet PC and smartphone needs, Microsoft has changed the user interface and applications of Windows 8 hoping to attract consumers and drive up its performance.

Since Microsoft is already cooperating closely with several first-tier smartphone vendors, the company is not concerned about Windows 8-based smartphones, but for the tablet PC market, since Apple, Google and Amazon are gradually gaining advantages, while devices are also slowly devouring notebook demand and starting to impact Microsoft's income from Windows licensing for notebooks, Microsoft has decided to enter the market itself in order to create the best Windows 8 usage experience with full control over hardware, software and firmware.

Although Microsoft will maintain its cooperation with Taiwan-based PC brand vendors and ODMs to expand Windows 8's market share, the sources believe that in the tablet PC market, Taiwan-based PC players' future fate will be picking up the leftovers from first-tier players, and the relationship between Microsoft and Taiwan PC players may become less integrated.

However, the sources are also pessimistic about Microsoft's move in pushing its own tablet PC since most similar cases in the past ended with failure due to fierce competition.

Fulani Herdsmen Strike Again On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

 

A commercial motorcyclist, popularly called okada rider was on Monday stabbed in the stomach by two hoodlums suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on the long bridge end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
It was learnt that the victim, Mr. Owolabi Habib, had picked his assailants at Berger, Lagos, who posed as passengers and claimed they were going to New Kara, located around the long bridge.

A source within Habib’s family said, “As soon as they got near their destination and Owolabi slowed down, one of the men pulled out a long knife and stabbed him in the stomach.

“Habib told us that he abandoned his okada and fled to save himself. But the stab was so deep that his intestine came out.” It was learnt that a motorist later rescued Owolabi and rushed him to the Lagos State Accident and Trauma Centre at Tollgate.
Findings on Wednesday showed that Owolabi had been referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. A doctor at the centre, who declined to give his name, said, “The wound he sustained needs intensive care. That is why he was moved to LASUTH.”
It would be recalled that a retired Brigadier-General, Sylvester Iruh, was on July 7, 2012, killed on the bridge by suspected Fulani herdsmen as he was changing the tyre of his car.

P-Square Buries Mom - Mrs Josephine Okoye

 

 Mrs. Josephine Okoye, mother to Peter and Paul Okoye (P-Square) has been buried. 

The singing duo’s mother, who passed on after a heart surgery in India, receivea a one in town burial ceremony. Talebearers disclosed that the Okoye brothers led by Jude Engees Okoye, have spent almost N50m on the burial rites for their late mother.
It was also disclosed that the brothers have spent so much in giving their mother a well-befitting and world class burial for who they refer to as the only pillar of support behind the P-Square success.
Services of M.I.C for casket provision as well as interment celebrations have also been contracted. It was also gathered that Peter and Paul  promised to spare no cost in ensuring that their late mother is well laid to rest.
 

Some of the preparations and items that have seen the brothers spending so much include transporting her remains back to Nigeria; building a mausoleum; ordering for a very expensive casket; engaging services of burial team and event managers as well as catering for i bbnvited guests and colleagues.

Believe it or not an American, Joe Harmon has designed a car which is made almost entirely of wood. The car, called Splinter, was said to have been designed as his graduate project at the Industrial Design course – North Carolina State University.
Amazingly, the chassis, body, wheels and a large proportion of suspension are also made of wood, and it is super fast too – even more than a Porsche or a Lamborghini. . Other specifications of the car include:

The entire car, which is made from a combination of maple, plywood and MDF, weighs just 1,134kg – some 240kg less than the super lightweight Porsche. The eco-friendly two seater, which is fitted with a six-speed, manual gearbox, can sprint from 0 to 60mph in just over three seconds!
The ‘Splinter’ car can turn out a whopping 700bhp from its twin supercharged, 4.6litre V8 engine – almost 300bhp more than a Porsche 911. And with a top speed of a staggering 240mph, it will leave the Porsche or even the brand new Lamborghini Revanton behind.
According to Harmon, “The light weight is achieved through careful design and composite construction… The Splinter is not made from any carved-out, solid chunks of wood, but rather moulded laminates.”

A young Nigerian woman has been delivered of a monkey-like monster in Otukpo, a popular town in Benue State. It was said to have taken place recently at St Theresa Hospital, Otukpo
This wife of a hunter from Oju Local Government Area of the state was said to have given birth to a creature that looks like a monkey.
The strange delivery, was gathered, came as a surprise to the already mother of nine the who had successfully delivered nine children in the past and was having her 10th child before the strange creature visited her. According to an eyewitness, when the news broke out, residents of the town, especially those at the nearby Otukpo main market rushed to the hospital to see for themselves.
Describing the strange development as congenital malformation, Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Stanley Bwala said the malformation could have been forestalled if the woman was attending antenatal care regularly and advised pregnant women to always avail themselves to routine ante natal treatment.

However, it was gathered that as soon as the hunter heard about the delivery, he came and removed the monster from the hospital, even as observers believed the abnormal birth was a usual occurrence to hunters who have killed several animals during hunting.
In a brief chat with elder Adah Okoh, a traditional ruler in the area, he noted that in the Idoma tradition, such child should not be allowed to stay with the mother for fear of reincarnation. Asked if the monster should be buried alive or killed, elder Okoh said that should be left for the family to decide.

10 Rocket Propelled Grenades Recovered In Nigeria-Chad Border Following Gun-Duel With Suspected Militants

The incident was confirmed to SaharaReporters by Lt.Col. Sagir Musa, who said the weapons were recovered following a gun battle which left some suspected Islamist extremists dead in Daban Masara border town. According to him, “The vehicle was intercepted on Monday at about 9pm local time by a combined team of Secret Security Services, the multi-national Joint Task Force, JTF and other security forces.” Other arms in the consignment included 10 rocket chargers, two AK 47 rifles, and 13 magazines with six rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition, he said. This incident confirms that Nigerian and Chadian troops are now working together at the border.

Initially when the post was made, social network didn’t have much reaction on the way the star singer had positioned his hand on the bum of the statue, but later a lot of fans that probably held the star in high esteem for his new personality felt he was not doing good by displaying such a picture of himself. Just like any wife who saw a photo on the Internet of her previously philandering husband sitting shirtless on a bar in a Barcelona nightclub with two young women, Vanessa Bryant was "embarrassed" and "furious" last week when she saw a photo of Kobe in a compromising spot at a Team USA basketball function in Barcelona, according to TMZ.

TMZ says Vanessa wasn't upset because she thought Kobe was cheating on her; she was upset that he allowed himself to get in a position where such a picture was taken. The couple has had a tumultuous public relationship. They recently called off divorce proceedings in an attempt at reconciliation.

How did Kobe manage to get in that spot in the first place? A source tells TMZ that a drink spilled on his shirt and he was waiting for a replacement.



Vanessa flew to London with the couple's two daughters over the weekend to see Kobe and Team USA start the basketball competition. The trip was planned before the photograph hit the Web.

Kobe and Team USA are 1-0 in the Olympic tournament. They are 55-point favorites on Tuesday night against Tunisia.
Team USA was in Barcelona playing exhibitions and celebrating the 20th anniversary of the original Dream Team. What's the old saying: When in Barcelona, do as the Barkley did?

WIZKID, BANKY W, SKALES, ROTIMI IN NYC | #REVIEW

One of the most anticipated concerts of this year, the Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) concert, featuring some of the label’s famous musicians (Banky, Wizkid, and Skales) took place last night in NYC. While there have been many reviews of the concert already, thanks to the individuals in twitter land, I’m here to give you an exclusive look into the concert. Let’s begin with the positive:
Although the concert began relatively late, (should have started at 10PM, but didn’t start until around 1AM) fans were still more eager than ever to see their “favorite boy” Wizkid. And so it’s understandable that as soon as wiz was called out, there was mayhem. Rotimi, the talented actor/singer took the stage first, as he (serenaded the ladies) warmed up the audience with Mario’s “Let Me Love You”, and despite that fact that the “warm up” performance was short, he promised to be back for more. (AND HE WAS!! SHIRTLES ). Skales took the stage next, showing some of his dance moves while performing his hits, including the crowd favorite “mukulu”. I heard skales harmonizing with banky… dude can sing ooo. Lol
Next up was Wizkid, who of course drove the crowd (especially the ladies) wild, as some fans even had to be held back by security; resulting in Wizkid’s verbal altercation with one of the security members. I’m sure his fans were humbled and please by his rescuing act. Way to go wiz! Mr. Wellington then took the stage to perform a variety of songs, from giving them “strong tin”, and then taking them to the “Lagos party” (well, NY party), and then some. Although some of the songs were performed to their tracks, a few songs were performed with a live band, giving the fans a more direct and interactive feel to their music. In essence, the four artists took the stage and not only entertained their fans, but enjoyed themselves while doing so.


Negatives:
I honestly felt like there was a lot going on (too much noise) and the concert had potential to be better than what it resulted to be. I for one did not appreciate a concert starting hours later than it was supposed to start. This happens with most Nigerian events, but that doesn’t mean it should be acceptable, especially when no apology was issued by the artists’ or the organizers.
Secondly, I know that some fans were very excited to see Wizkid, but come on ladies! I don’t think getting to the point where the security has to escort you out is beneficial to you. Remember: you paid to watch this artist perform.
Lastly, the fights: how is it not embarrassing that in almost every Nigerian event that takes place, there’s always a fight? What happened to just talking things out? The fight even extended into the VIP room. I heard gist about the fight starting because a lady refused a guy her number, and he decided to show her how he felt with his belt. Really? LOL! To conclude, the EME concert was quite an experience!
